What are Tokens and how do they work?

Tokens are the currency used in Leonardo.Ai to pay for almost everything on the platform. Each feature, image, and video model has its own token cost based on complexity and settings. Free users get 150 daily tokens. Paid users receive monthly Fast Tokens, unused tokens roll into a rollover bank up to three months of allowance, and paid users can buy top-up tokens that never expire while subscribed.

Will I own the images I make?

Paid subscribers retain full ownership, copyright, and other intellectual property rights to images they generate. Leonardo.Ai may use private images only to provide services. Free tier users grant Leonardo.Ai rights to use and distribute generated images, but receive a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access creations for commercial use. Public images can be used by Leonardo.Ai and other users as enabled by platform features.

Can I use my generated images for commercial projects?

Yes. Paid subscribers retain full ownership and intellectual property rights and can use generated images in commercial projects. Free tier users can also use generations commercially under a non-exclusive, royalty-free license, but free creations are public and may be accessed or used by other users.

How do Unlimited Plans and Relaxed Generation work?

Relaxed generation activates automatically only when tokens are exhausted, runs at lower priority, and does not apply to third-party models such as GPT Image, Ideogram, Flux, Kling, Sora, or Veo.
