What is Rewrait?

Rewrait is a native desktop app for Mac and Windows that rewrites text you select or dictate in any app. A style combines the rewrite instruction, approved sources, and output shape. Shortcuts can read voice guides and playbooks from Notion, Confluence, and Google Docs, then replace the improved draft where you are writing.

How to use Rewrait?

Download Rewrait for Mac or Windows, create an account, then select text in any app or dictate a rough draft. Press Cmd+Shift+P on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows, pick a shortcut, and the rewrite replaces the original in place.

Does Rewrait work in the apps my team already uses?

Yes. Rewrait is a native desktop app for Mac and Windows, not a browser extension, so it works anywhere you can select text: Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Zendesk, Intercom, Linear, HubSpot, VS Code, docs, and browser fields.

Do you train AI models on our text?

No. Text your team submits is processed only to return the rewrite and is never used to train Rewrait or third-party models. Rewrite history is off by default, and Team plans include a written no-training guarantee.

Can a shortcut use our Notion style guide?

Yes. On the Team plan, shortcuts can read approved pages from Notion, Confluence, and Google Docs so rewrites follow your rules instead of generic AI defaults. Workspace owners choose which sources are connected, and access is read-only.

Can I use Rewrait without selecting text?

Yes. Dictate the rough version instead: speak in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German, and the same shortcut turns it into polished writing.

How does the 14-day trial work?

Every new account starts on a 14-day Team trial with no card required and no automatic paid conversion. When it ends, your workspace moves to the Free plan with 30 rewrites a month, 1,000 characters per rewrite, and 1 seat unless you upgrade.
