What is Kortix?

Kortix is an open-source AI command center where every agent, skill, and memory lives as a file in one versioned git repo you own. A workforce of AI agents does real work across Slack, Teams, the web, or the CLI. Each session runs in an isolated sandbox on its own branch; finished work lands as a change request you review before merge. Self-hostable, any model, your keys.

How to use Kortix?

Install the CLI with curl -fsSL https://kortix.com/install | bash, then run kortix login. Create a project with kortix init, start a session with kortix sessions new --prompt "your task", watch via kortix sessions chat, and merge the agent's change request with kortix cr merge.

What is Kortix?

Kortix is the Autonomous Company Operating System — a cloud computer where a workforce of AI agents runs your company, and everything is code you own. Each agent works inside your own git repo; sessions run in isolated sandboxes on their own branch and open change requests when work is ready.

Can I self-host Kortix?

Yes. Kortix runs as one Docker Compose stack (frontend, API, LLM gateway, and Supabase). Use the one-shot bootstrap script or kortix self-host init with your domain, then kortix self-host start. Agent sessions run on a separate sandbox provider such as Daytona.

How do sessions and change requests work?

A session runs an agent in an isolated sandbox on its own branch. When the work is ready, the agent opens a change request with a summary and diff. Nothing reaches your default branch until you review and merge the CR.

Can I use my own LLM API keys?

Yes. Kortix is model-agnostic and supports bring-your-own-key for premium models on the Free plan. You can pin a model per agent or pass --model per session, including your own OpenAI-compatible endpoints.
